Michael Chavez brings over 14 years of vast security experience, with 10 of them being command level security, to the Albuquerque Convention Center. Michael started at the age of 17, and has held positions from corporate security to fraud investigations. Michael’s experience in this field has taken him throughout the United States; from Seattle down to Miami, and many places in between.

During his off time Michael has volunteered for several non-profit organizations including Junior Achievement, the Stop the Violence Campaign, and with the Albuquerque Police Dept. Business Summit on Crime Prevention and Victory Outreach. Michael is also a member of the City of Albuquerque’s Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.); and is also certified in I.C.S. and N.I.M.S. through the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Michael likes to boast of his great knowledge of all the best eateries in Albuquerque, and he enjoys constantly finding new and exciting places to dine.
