Please join us for JUNETEENTH: A Celebration of Freedom, a FREE event on Civic Plaza on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 for the entire family!  There will be a showing of Ava Duvernay’s award-winning documentary “13th”, food trucks, speakers, live DJ music from Byron Powdrell & 99.9 The Beat-FM, information tables, and much more. Join us in the heart of the City for a celebration of this important American cultural holiday.

Lots of seating available but you can bring your own seats and blankets too! You can enjoy the Civic Plaza splash pad fountain and the Imagination Playground will be on hand for kids to play with. Parking is available beneath the plaza for a small fee, and free parking is available in the area.

This event is brought to you by the NM Black History Organizing Committee, the City of ABQ Office of Equity & Inclusion, the City of ABQ Office of Cultural Services, and the County of Bernalillo.
